Pinterest…
You might be thinking to yourself pin what? Pinterest! The coolest new site on the web, is Pinterest. It is a virtual bulletin board where you can “pin” pictures, ideas and even recipes that you find online to your bulletin boards. It allows you to organize all the wonderful things you find onto different boards and you can create as many as you like! When you sign up you can use the suggested boards to get you started and then change the names or reorganize them however you like. It is rather simple to get started. Pinterest is a free site but is currently by invitation only. You can request an invite through the site. Mine only took 5 days. If you need to get started right away find a friend that is already a part of the community and you can have them send you an invite. You can email me at tina@trulyyourscatering.com with your email address and I can send you an invite! Be sure to check your spam/junk folder for it though.
“pin it” is a nifty little feature that allows you to quickly pin things you see on a website. It is a free download. All you do it click “pin it” and all the photos from the web page appear. Click on the one you want to save and then which board you want it on. At that point, you have the option of sharing the pin to Facebook or Twitter. It is that simple.
You can also:
· Re-pin something someone else has posted
· “like” a pin
· Comment on a pin
· Go straight to the original website from a pin
· Become addicted to it very quickly!
· Follow someone’s board and you will be notified whenever they add a pin to it.
